On this site, you will find information about two class action lawsuits against Qwest in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. The plaintiffs in both lawsuits are represented by Sprenger & Lang, PLLC, Terrell Marshall & Daudt PLLC, the Law Office of Kimberlee L. Gunning, PLLC and Dyer & Berens LLP.

In the first lawsuit, called Vernon, et al. v. Qwest Communications International, Inc., the plaintiffs allege that Qwest charges an "Early Termination Fee" when certain customers seek to end their internet service with Qwest. The plaintiffs allege that these Early Termination Fees are illegal and unenforceable, and that the class members never signed a contract agreeing to pay these fees. Plaintiffs seek to represent a class of Qwest customers who have been subjected to Qwest’s practice of charging these improper fees, and to obtain damages and an order from the court prohibiting Qwest from charging Early Termination Fees. Click here to see the amended complaint.

In the second lawsuit, called Grosvenor v. Qwest Communications International, Inc., the plaintiff alleges that Qwest has knowingly broken its "Price for Life Guarantee" - its promise that customers can lock in the same monthly rate for as long as Qwest offers, and they maintain internet services with Qwest. The plaintiff seeks to represent a class of customers whose rates Qwest has increased in violation of the "Price for Life Guarantee", and to obtain damages and an order from the court prohibiting Qwest from violating its promise. Click here to see the complaint.
